Is it normal to feel a little down? I`ve been moody and take it out on my husband. I try to exercise everyday and I need to find more interesting activities that don`t revolve around food. It seems like I think about food 24/7. I`ve cheated a few times already. I`m so worried that I won`t succeed!!!!!

It sounds like you are morning the loss of food and that is normal. Remember you had surgery on your stomach not your head. You are right to want to find other hobbies, take a walk, if need be take more than one. Go through your photo albums, attack your office something that needs attention that you haven't felt like doing. Wash your windows anything that will keep your hands busy and you will be productive in getting things done at the same time.

Laura, are you journalizing your food? This is a proven method for weight loss. It seems if you have to write it down it makes a huge difference as to if you will eat it. Ok so you have cheated, but today is a NEW day start fresh, wipe your slate clean and from today on, don't think of the past, think from here on out.

I would suggest you take pictures of yourself as you progress so you can look back and see the progress YOU have made. Also take your measurements, sometimes you will lose inches and not pounds. You need to be the one to make these pounds go away, remember the lap band is a tool and just that. We have to do the work, and I am here to tell you it can be done!

Thanks for the good advice Michele. I got up early today and went to water aerobics. I enjoyed it and even swam a few laps afterwards. Went out with friends to lunch. Had a 1/2 portion of salad with just vinegar and enjoyed myself. Looking into a beginners yoga class. Thanks for the help. and sorry if I was a whine baby!!
