Meeting twice a week to do WLS meeting sure does make the days go by fast. And one week out of the month I do three WLS meetings. As I've told Katie before, doing these meeting is a way for me to give back to the WLS community, but it also helps keep me honest. I've also learned that by leading these meeting, it is a learning opportunity for me. I don't think a week goes by that I don't learn at least one new piece of information about our Journey through our WLS. Hopefully this will find all having a wonderful summer time. Keep in touch!

I would be happy to share that with you Ms Lorraine. I had RNY July 2, 2007 and I lost a total of 150 pounds. I started my online support group last July 2008 I now about 46 members we are growing. I started the physical one last Sept 8, 2008. I really enjoy being a support group leader. I know that this is one of my callings if you will!!!

Welcome aboard Velda, It's great to hear from another support group leader. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, such as, what kind of WLS you had, when you had your WLS, how much you've lost, and approximately how long you've been doing your online support group as well as the physical one? At last nights meeting the question for the evening as each WLS patient introduced themself was - Did you have a "WOW" moment this past week. It is always fun to hear each one discuss their "WOW" moent and how excited they are. It also initiates others to speak. Looking forward to hearing about your Support Group Meetings ...........
