When I first went back to this particular park, after it was redone, the labrynth was there and I don't have to drive 20 minutes to use it. I will be practicing mindful walking through this wonderful meditative tool. It has become part of my WLS wel…

I Am A Trekkie...and trying to enjoy it

For the past six weeks, I have been a trekkie....boldly going where I haven't gone in the 26 years of being married to my DH, Allen. On 4/17/09, he fell down the stairs in our home and broke his shoulder, had staples in the back of his head and stitches over his eye and on the side of his nose. He was taken to the only trauma center in the county and was there for 6 days then was transferred to a rehab center. He came home yesterday morning and this is the best birthday gift I could have since t… Continue

I am feeling much better emotionally. It is a start and I will keep working on it because nobody else will do it for me. The walk on the labrynth was liberating for me. My mantra was Victor, not victim. It was a learning experien… Continue

Tough Times NEVER Last

It has been a week or so since I posted a plea for support on the NAWLS forum. I cannot tell you what the forum postings as well as the private postings have done for me. I am feeling much better re-reading all the supportive posts and getting myself back on track...wholistically.

Dr. Robert Schuller says "Tough times never last, but tough people do." I am slowly learning that I am a "tough cookie,"and I won't let the bad times, feelings, etc rule me. Working on getting my website together has… Continue
